The project
Ernesto Oroza is the first guest of the Almanac residences. Ernesto Oroza
Ernesto Oroza is a designer, artist, researcher, graduate of the Higher Institute of Design at the University of Havana. He is responsible for the Design and Research 3rd cycle at the Saint-Étienne School of Art and Design.
Oroza has received grants from the Guggenheim Foundation, the HARPO Foundation, as well as the Pernod Ricard grant from Villa Vassilieff. .His work has been presented at Documenta Fifteen, Kassel; at the Walker Arts Center, Minneapolis; at MoMA, New York; at the Groninger Museum, the Netherlands; at the Perez Art Miami Museum, USA; at LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial, Spain; at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts; at the Museo Rufino Tamayo, Mexico; and at the Institut de Cultura La Virreina, Barcelona.
